❄️Unleash your alter Igloo❄️ IGLOOFEST unveils an exciting lineup for its 16th edition!

When winter hits Montréal, it can only mean one thing: IGLOOFEST! This beloved winter extravaganza will run from January 18 to February 10, featuring a stellar lineup of artists ready to make you sweat through the cold. Diverse musical genre lovers can expect captivating performances from global EDM icons like Diplo, The Blaze, and REZZ. Even artists like Armin van Buuren and Eric Prydz will be sporting tuques, mittens, and one-pieces for the first time. Seekers of more avant-garde experiences can explore the festival’s grand opening with Marc Rebillet and Partiboi69. As always, the tireless night owls can already mark their calendars for the upcoming Après-Ski evenings (to be announced by the end of the month), and families can enjoy Igloofest’s daytime events under the Igloofête banner, held every Saturday in the Old Port of Montréal, free of charge. Lastly, from March 7 to 9, 2024, Igloofest Québec will make its grand return!

A Vibrant Winter Program

Igloofest Montréal’s 16th edition promises to be unforgettable from the get-go. On Thursday, January 18, the Sapporo stage will be stormed by two musical sensations: the one-of-a-kind whirlwind, Marc Rebillet, and the ultimate raver, Partiboi69. The following day, Canada’s atypical (and luminous) REZZ will return to the festival with their intoxicating bass that marked our 2020 winter. And to cap off the first weekend, enjoy NTO and Joachim Pastor’s poignant melodies and catchy rhythms, providing a voluptuous way to break the ice!

The second weekend is set to keep winter warriors moving, with inventive and hypnotic minimal techno maestro, Stephan Bodzin, kicking things off on Thursday, January 25. On Friday, January 26, it’s Diplo‘s turn — always eagerly anticipated, this distinguished American producer flirts with all styles (rap, EDM and house). His performances are always unique and not to be missed! Before Diplo takes the stage, the Detroit duo Floorplan (veteran Robert Hood and his protégé) will set the tone. On Saturday, January 27, trance king Armin van Buuren will make a legendary appearance for the first time with us.

Always on the lookout for the latest trends, Igloofest welcomes big names as well as artists who leave their mark on the dancefloor with intimate yet iconic performances. In this spirit, the dynamic American duo 100 Gecs will open the third weekend with an exhilarating DJ set. Swedish headliner Eric Prydz takes centre stage the following day, promising a snow-filled, immersive experience dancing to his iconic tracks like “Call on Me,” “NOPUS,” and “Pjanoo” — one of the most prolific and influential producers of our time! The week will conclude with Lane 8, creator of label This Never Happened, accompanied by Sultan + Shepard and EMBRZ.
Last but not least, powerful French duo The Blaze (DJ set) will return on Thursday, February 8, for an emotionally charged evening. In addition, genius producer RONE will be on the program, so you might as well mark your calendar and plan to arrive early! On Friday, February 9, American Kaskade will serve up his famous progressive and melodic house. Saturday, closing night, will feature the indestructible party queen, Miss Monique, whose contagious energy has resolutely seduced the Montréal public. She’ll be accompanied by German duo Hidden Empire, ensuring that we conclude this 16th edition with our hands (and mittens) raised in the air!

Celebrating Local Talent

As we all know, the true cold heroes are the local flamboyant artists who keep Montréal buzzing year-round. At Igloofest, they’ve always been the ones who heat up the site, sometimes to the point of literally electrifying the Vidéotron stage. Reflecting the city’s diversity, a wide range of EDM styles will be on display, all aimed at bringing joy to Igloosapiens in the heart of winter. The first weekend will feature the La Rama collective, with local talents Gene Tellem, Kris Guilty, and DJ Heidi gracing opening night. They’ll be followed by Homegrown Harvest, showcasing Toronto duo INVT and Alta Familia. The first Saturday will see House of Youth take over the stage, with artists Forrest, Andrea de Tour, and Sterling Grove. During the second weekend, the proud acid collective Pep Rally from Toronto will dominate the Vidéotron stage with Chippy Nonstop, Karim Olen Ash, and Syana. This diverse rainbow will continue to shine the next day with New York’s sksks, offering a mix of trance, dance, and techno. The third weekend will be dedicated to house, disco, and funk, featuring the Ferias collective and the underground Floral Nights, featuring one of the most sparkling electronic artists on the Montréal scene, prince of house, Gab Rhome. Finally, during the fourth weekend, Frikiton will heat things up with a rhythmic Latino repertoire, and Afrotonik will lead the final dance — guaranteed to be furiously suave!

Programming for Après-Ski, Igloofête in Montréal and Igloofest Québec evenings will be announced in the coming weeks.
