Exporail welcomes travelers during the school break!

School break is fast approaching and Exporail, Canada’s largest railway museum, is open and ready to welcome kids and families! Several fun exhibitions highlighting Canada’s railway heritage are available: a ride on a model railroad, trains in the movies, the little railroaders’ car and model trains. Exporail is a great outing to learn more about our history and to stimulate the imagination of the youngest, who will be immersed in the incredible world of magnificent trains.

An original ride on a miniature railroad!

The children’s favorite is back! Starting March 1st, visitors can embark on a ride on the miniature railroad. The tour passes over three bridges and through a tunnel: a memorable experience for the whole family!

The magic of trains in movies

During the months of March and April, Exporail visitors will be able to dive into the magic of movies and learn more about the behind-the-scenes by visiting some of the vehicles in the collection that were used as sets for filming! For this occasion, Exporail is partnering with the Sorcière et Magie boutique in Drummondville to offer a nice selection of items from the Harry Potter ™ franchise available at the Museum boutique.

The Little Railroaders’ Car

The 1913 Canadian Pacific Railway baggage car CPR 3987 has been given a makeover to accommodate children aged from 3 to 7 years old. Now nicknamed the Little Railroaders’ Car, this typical vehicle is a fun way to introduce children to life on board a train!
