Casteliers is delighted to announce that it will once again present live theatre during the 17th edition of Festival de Casteliers, from March 2 to 6, 2022 in Montréal.
This annual 11th art happening will showcase North American puppetry, with feature performances from Mexico, the United States, Ontario and Québec.
Festival de Casteliers will present a dozen shows, major exhibitions, and professional networking and awareness-raising activities that will appeal to and captivate young and old alike.
The festival will showcase seven shows specifically for family audiences, and five shows for adult audiences.
The much-anticipated Marionnettes en vitrines! walkabout exhibition will celebrate Vermont’s Bread and Puppet Theater’s 50 years of commitment to creating a better world through art, paperboard, and citizen engagement.
This year, the festival will kick off with ¡Burros!, a La Liga Teatro Elástico (Mexico) and Casteliers production.
This celebratory, medieval-era inspired deambulation will be performed on the church steps and inside St-Viateur Church in Outremont.
Then, rendezvous at Théâtre Outremont for Innamorati, a musical performance created by Quatuor Bozzini and renowned puppeteer Marcelle Hudon, presented by the Groupe Le Vivier.
