Grosse Île and the Irish Memorial National Historic Site

Located in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, Grosse-Île was the Port of Québec’s quarantine station from the beginning of the 19th century until 1937. The main port of entry for immigrants, this site provides an opportunity to better understand the importance of its role in the nation’s history.
