The Baie-James Doré Festival is an event organized every year since 1999, on the banks of Lake Opémisca. This exceptional fishing site, located just a few kilometers from the town of Chapais, in Northern Quebec, has become the gathering point for festival-goers.
Anglers of all ages as well as families and friends are invited to participate in this most famous walleye fishing tournament in the province and in all the cultural activities that surround it.
The fishing tournament is divided into two main categories, the Amateur – Princecraft component and the Professional – PRO-VIP component. In the Amateur – Princecraft component, there are several underlying components, namely the women’s component, the youth component and the fine-aged component.
